So when Grandma started talking about taking all the cousins to the lake without their parents, we pretty much thought she was loony. (Well, she is loony, but that's a wholenother business.) To our joy and delight, we got to go along to "Cousin Camp." This was for the older kids (3 and up, I guess) Brad, Abby, and Belle. The first night was a "fun" night- the kids were up until about 3am. Grandma, our camp director, allowed this, after all, "it's camp." The next morning they were up with the sun, then proceeded to start nodding off again a few hours later- while we were all fishing. The next couple of days were a blur, mostly because of the need to block things out. However, Mommy did manage to catch a little bass, suitable for eating, and so ended the first annual "Cousin Camp". Will it be the last? It remains to be seen, although Grandma was heard saying something about how it'll be better when they get a little older... Then again, cousin Jenna will qualify for next year- and we will not be joining them. We love you, Grandma- thanks for giving the kids a memorable time at the lake!
